This is the story of Dan McCormick aka Dynamo Dan the Electric Man. Even though this isn't one of Universals' mainstream monsters like Dracula or Frankenstein, this is actually a good entry in the series and mostly overlooked but I am here to remedy this. By playing the role of Dynamo Dan, Lon Chaney Jr. got the title role of the Wolfman due to his performance in this movie. George Waggner directed this movie and The Wolfman. Lionel Atwill made a perfect mad scientist. The glowing effect was used before by Boris Karloff in The Invisible Ray. All in all pretty high tech special effects for that time. The film was later re-released by Real Art (who re-released a lot of the classic Universal monster films) under the title "The Atomic Monster". I prefer Man Made Monster myself.
